We need to know a few things which will help us in determining if Montgomery Painting  is the appropriate contractor for your painting needs, such as: When you would like your project to begin and what is your estimated budget? We will provide you with a bid based on your painting ideas. Please contact us at (360) 867-4124 or send an email to david@montgomerypainting.org to get started.

In-Home Meeting

Montgomery Painting project leaders meets with you at home to discuss, in detail the scope of your project and your goals. The meeting takes approximately 30 min and there is no cost to you and no obligation. At this time we may take site measurements and photos. This is a good time to ask questions about how the painting process works.

Proposal/Bid

Montgomery Painting utilizes your ideas and specifications taken from the in-home visit to prepare a written proposal with recommendations and outlining any options available to you for your particular project. This is our formal bid for your exterior and/or interior home painting project, with a timeline and budget to meet your goals.

Selection/Pre-Painting

Upon selection of Montgomery Painting  as your painting contractor, we assign a project leader who reviews the work plan with you, from project timeline to budget considerations, so you know what to expect. The next step would be to enter into a painting contract so that the actual work can begin.

The contract describes the scope of the job, including the dates for the start of the project, completion date, the cost of the job and lists the specific materials to be used, i.e. quantity, color, size, quality, brand name, etc.

Painting

With Montgomery Painting,  you receive individual attention both in the field and in the office from start to finish. Communication is the key to completing a quality, on time project to your specifications. Painting begins after an on-site walk through of the area to be painted is conducted, to confirm the details of your project. Items covered include: identifying areas that need to be cleared or protected, approved hours of work, home security, and the need for temporary facilities for kitchen and bath functions when painting begins.

A clean job site is a safe job site, not only for workers and homeowners. Montgomery Painting will ensure your project is clean on a daily basis as well as at the completion of your home painting project.

Change Orders

Any change to the scope of your project is properly handled with a written change order. Change orders can arise from a building official's request or simply at the home owner's discretion. Change orders are considered addendums to the painting contract and may affect the project completion date.

Post-Painting

When your project nears completion, the project leader conducts a walk-through with you to identify any outstanding items. A final checklist is compiled and reviewed with you. Once all items on this final checklist have been completed, it is reviewed again and signed by both parties.

At this time we may ask for your permission to take photographs for our Showcase Gallery. We are proud of our finished projects, and we rely on your referrals.

Thank you for taking the time to review our painting process. We hope it has helped you visualize your home project. Please contact us at (360) 867-4124 or david@montgomerypainting.org to get started.
